Tēnā koutou katoa,
As this school year fast draws to a close it is time to reflect on the year that has been. This year has been one of success across many fronts here at Hutt Intermediate. However, most importantly this year has been one of student success. This has looked different for every student. Some have hit academic highs, while others have excelled in sports, the arts, or leadership. For many, the wins have been more subtle, like building confidence, showing resilience, or simply learning to navigate the world. Regardless of the mode of success - talent, potential and amazing cultural diversity thrive in our school.
A special acknowledgement to our departing staff members Mr Lavery and Mr Barham Thank you for your contributions to our school, and while we will miss you, we wish you all the best for your future journeys.
We also say goodbye to our wonderful Year 8 students. All the best for next year and thank you for the contribution you all have made to our school.
To our year 7 students we look forward to seeing you all next year and watching you pick up from where our Year 8’s left off. You have been fortunate to have such great role models in your first year at our school.
Finally, thank you to all of our school community - staff, whanau and students for making 2025 a remarkable year for Hutt Intermediate.
Please use this summer break as a time to recharge and to reflect. We wish you a joyful festive season and many relaxing days filled with sunshine.
