Kia ora e te whÄnau,
Term 3 is already off to a flying start! There is plenty happening here at school.
We finished last term on a high with our amazing Hutt Fest performance. This year we had our largest ever group with over 130 students performing. Our Kapahaka and Poly groups practised long and hard along with their kaiako and the final results were a credit to them all. A huge thank you to both groups and all those who supported them behind the scenesâyour mahi was outstanding and made us all very proud. Thanks to Mr Bowkett, Ms. Richards and Mrs Andrews for all your work in coordinating the event for our school.
This week we held our Navigating the Journey parent information evening on Tuesday. Parents were given an overview of our programme and the important content around identity, relationships, and decision-making. This information has also been emailed to the community.
Every two years the Hutt Intermediate School Board is required to consult with the parent community about our school's health programmes. The purpose of this consultation is to inform the school community of the programmes currently being offered, to seek feedback, and to ensure our programmes continue to meet the needs of our students. Below is a link to a Google Form to share your feedback. Please take some time to read the email and complete the form. Your feedback is much appreciated.
Looking ahead, weâre excited to be holding Huttâs Got Talent next Wednesday at 7.00pm in the hall. This promises to be a real highlight in the school calendar. We encourage whÄnau to come along and support our tamariki as they showcase their many talents.
A reminder that WhÄnau Conferences are coming up in Week 4. These are a valuable opportunity to connect with your childâs teacher, discuss their progress, and work together to support their learning journey. Booking information will be sent out soon.
Thank you for your ongoing support and involvement in our school community. Have a safe, happy and hopefully sunny weekend.
NgÄ mihi
Mike, Catriona and Tracey
